Health in the Spirit is a Christian health and wellness podcast hosted by Dr. Ryan DeNome and his wife Annie DeNome. Ryan is a chiropractor at The Wellness Way Mason in Mason, Ohio, with a Humanities and Catholic Culture degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University. Annie is a theologian and a Catholic Social Teaching advocate at Cross Catholic Outreach, and a Theology and Psychology graduate of Franciscan University. Together they bring holistic medicine and Christian faith into one conversation, drawing on Scripture and on the witness of Saints Cosmas and Damian (the Holy Unmercenary physicians), Saint Hildegard of Bingen (Doctor of the Church and herbalist), and Saint Augustine of Hippo (Doctor of Grace). The show is written for any Christian who suspects that how we eat, move, rest, and heal is not separate from the life of faith. Guests have included an emergency physician, a home birth midwife, and people who have lived through healings they cannot explain any other way. Their motto, traditionally attributed to Augustine, sets the tone: care for your body as if you were going to live forever, and care for your soul as if you were going to die tomorrow. Ryan and Annie live in Cincinnati, Ohio with their son, Joachim Giorgio. The show premiered on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and publishes a new episode every Tuesday morning. It is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and by RSS.
